Venezuela's opposition leader María Corina Machado returns after months in exile

María Corina Machado, the leader of Venezuela's opposition, has returned to the country after months in exile. She announced her arrival on social media, writing "I am here.

With you." Machado's return comes as the opposition is preparing for a series of protests against the government of President Nicolás Maduro.

The protests are expected to take place in the coming weeks, with the opposition calling for Maduro's resignation. The opposition has been working to organize protests and demonstrations in recent months, with Machado at the forefront of the efforts.

She has been a vocal critic of the Maduro government and has been a key figure in the opposition's efforts to challenge the government's authority. Machado's return to Venezuela is seen as a significant development in the country's ongoing struggle for democracy.

Her presence on the ground is expected to boost the morale of opposition supporters and help to galvanize the protests. The Venezuelan government has not commented on Machado's return, but it is likely that the government will try to suppress the protests and maintain its grip on power.

The opposition is preparing for a long and difficult fight, but Machado's return is a significant boost to their efforts. The international community has also taken notice of Machado's return, with many countries expressing support for the opposition's efforts to challenge the Maduro government.

The United States, in particular, has been a vocal supporter of the opposition, and is likely to continue to provide support to the opposition in the coming weeks.
