The Nation — Politics (progressive perspective) published an article titled "ICE" in its recent series, OppArt. The article is part of a larger exploration of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency's actions and policies.

The article series, OppArt, is a collection of in-depth pieces examining various aspects of American society, including politics, social justice, and culture. The ICE series delves into the complexities of the agency's role in immigration enforcement, highlighting its impact on communities and the country as a whole.

The article itself is a visual representation of the ICE agency, using a combination of illustrations, cartoons, and animations to convey its message. The author, André Carrilho, brings his expertise in illustration and animation to the piece, creating a unique and engaging visual narrative.

The article's focus on the ICE agency is not limited to its actions, but also explores the broader context in which it operates. The author examines the historical and social factors that have shaped the agency's policies and practices, providing a nuanced understanding of the issues at hand.

One of the key themes of the article is the tension between enforcement and compassion. The author highlights the contradictions between the agency's mission to enforce immigration laws and its role in protecting vulnerable communities.
